During our first meeUng, the owner of this studio, an acUve young man, has shown us four interior design images in a neon color paleRe. He summed up the style as Retro Wave: bright and bold, yet without sacrificing funcUonality of the space.
Studio is a rather small space, but as a result of some creaUve soluUons, we were able to create ample storage without losing the feel of an open space. To achieve that, Floor plan uUlized a number of tricks: using the thickness of the walls in some places and furniture modules in the place of walls in others.

In the common space area we were able to include an entry hall, kitchen and living room, where dominant accent is a purple wall with a line of glass blocks at the very top close to the ceiling. These blocks carry not only a decoraUve role in the interior design, but also a funcUonal one. They allow the sunlight to reach the bedroom in the dayUme, as does not have its own window but only a glass door to the logia, and in reverse, serve as a light fixture at night Ume, allowing light from the bedroom light fixtures reaching the living space.

Kitchen and entry hallway are combined into one, despite that there is an ample storage space for outerwear with a separate built in closet. Kitchen itself is a very ergonomically designed space, and despite its rather small size, has every appliance necessary for a comfortable lifestyle. There is also a small breakfast nook that visually separates the space from the rest of the living area.

In the main living area, we have a separate dining area that can transform when necessary into a work space. Canteliver shelf hosts a collecUon of vinyl records and player, testament to the owner being a melomaniac. The main rest area of the living room features a comfortable sofa with a coffee table, a space where the owner can sit relax and enjoy the music.

Bedroom has rather stark and simple design, featuring soothing light color paleRe with a striking closet accent done in a shiny black glass. Mirrors added complexity to the space, as they visually make the space bigger and reflect the decoraUve wall panels. Lower set of panels includes a built in lighUng system that when turned on in the evening, creates an illusion of levitaUon. Full length mirror, hides a storage system behind it that can be accessed from the living room.

Bathroom space did not have a lot of potenUal for changes, but with a few small tricks we were able to increase storage capacity above the toilet, create a rather spacious shower and even include a small laundry area. The sink is placed slightly more elevated than standard, but we were able to compensate it by using a very thin slab for the countertop. To create the feeling of lightness decision was made not to install a massive storage cabinet under the sink, but just one simple drawer. Mirror above the sink is deeply built into the wall itself, to create more depth and storage space and increase useful space.
