Designing Quadro was an exciting challenge, not just because it was for a close friend, but because of the unique personalities behind the vision. This project was for two brothers: one, a corporate business leader - Paawan Singh, and the other, India’s leading squash player - Abhay Singh. They couldn't be more different in their lifestyles, careers, and that’s exactly where the challenge lay. How do you create a space that blends two distinct identities while keeping it personal yet cohesive?

The answer lay in a dynamic balance of design elements that reflected both of their worlds, with a touch of minimal luxury that speaks to the modern bachelor lifestyle. Wrapping the house in moody browns, rich distinct wood grains, and warm whites, adding subtle hints of steel greys and black gave such a bold yet soft feel; that the twist had to lie in the details. For the brothers, who are both big believers in pop art, we knew the space had to tell a story of simplicity that was consistently interrupted by shocks of color and character.

We brought in bold pop art pieces like a vibrant Bearbrick figure that greeted everyone on their way in, striking textured vases, and loaded up their tables with interesting coffee table books that were filled with objects and products they admired. Each of these accessories became a statement in itself, breaking the monochrome calm and adding an unexpected burst of fun and personality. This wasn’t just a design; it was an experience, where the aesthetic shifts based on the details in each room.

One brother lives in the fast-paced corporate world, while the other thrives in the intense, disciplined world of sports. Their common areas had to reflect both, creating a space that could transition from corporate dinners and high intensity training to relaxed hangouts with friends. And while we gave a nod to a relaxed atmosphere in the living and bar arena, their rooms were designed to be deeply personal—a reflection of their identities, passions, and emotional resonance.

Quadro was never just about the aesthetics. It was about creating a space that was uniquely theirs. It’s a home that tells two stories, and yet feels completely unified.
