Nature itself is easily the finest example of prefabricated housing. Talk about the perfect metaphor.
Ironically, housing solutions are one of the biggest threats to Nature in this day and age. Perhaps this line of thinking is what got me to Gajaldoba in the Dooars. For the precious few travel buffs who are yet to experience India in its entirety, the Dooars is the lush alluvial plainlands at the foothills of the Himalayas.
Now, the interesting thing about this place (besides the fact that it is absolutely breathtaking in its beauty) is the eco-resort where I was staying in. I reached ‘Bhorer Alo’ (literally: Crack of Dawn) at the crack of dawn.
In Hindsight, It Was Love at First Sight!
I least expected it to be this romantic of a location. The sprawling expanse was captivating in its simplicity and serenity. The setting was so picturesque that it was… perfect for an artist painting a picture!
What struck me as most unique, though was the property itself - it was a prefabricated construction. Not just any prefab, though. The Bhorer Alo resort is a TATA Nest-In production!
I decided to dig in a little (after some malai chai, of course).
The preconceived notions of most people about prefab constructions lead them to believe that their design must be quite inflexible because of prebuilt panels. In reality, it is nothing of the sort! Not only are these constructions immensely sturdy and practically disaster-proof, but they are also great for the ecology.
The construction time is minimal as is the expenditure of resources in creating them. To add the cherry on top, the constructions are absolutely beautiful.
A Prefabricated Setup Set Up to Impress!
Minimal and ambient in nature, these solutions seem to be bringing Nature back into consideration. But enough with the tree-hugging. Let’s talk a little more about the constructions themselves.
Spacious and ambient, as far as living quarters go, there’s very little left to want in Nest-In’s modular houses. The corrugated rooftops seemed to be a particularly nice touch, giving it a very rustic theme. The in-built lighting panels lend the atmosphere of a resort you’d find in a Bond movie.
The downsides? None to speak of, really. The trip was a particularly memorable one. It’s strange how little it takes to create a lasting memory, really. For those of us who appreciate art and architecture, sometimes a touch of simplicity can make all the difference in the world.
It wasn’t just me who was impressed by the resort, though. Their reviews on popular travel websites and booking sites all say the same story. Coincidence?
The Bottom Line
The homely vibe of the Nestudio homes makes almost anyone want to live in them.
Final verdict: whether you are in the hospitality industry and willing to give your property a quick extension, or a homeowner in the need for a fast and hassle-free home expansion, Nestudio’s prefab constructions can well address your needs.
