From Regan Baker Design

A warm and inviting family home for four, designed to embody indoor-outdoor living and embrace the southern California sunshine. The client’s deep love of color and pattern is expressed throughout the home, creating a bright, layered, and playful palette. Architectural elements and textures extend from the exterior through to the interior and infuse traditional elements like brick walls into the modern silhouette of the structure. The family’s love for entertaining and spending time outdoors anchors the design for the home, which maximizes the lot and wraps around a sunny, serene, and private inner courtyard. The home’s main entry hall, constructed of floor to ceiling windows, offers an immediate view and pass-through to the inner courtyard and outdoor living and entertaining space. Storage and functional organization were top priorities for the client, resulting in custom millwork and storage solutions throughout the home. Whimsical pattern play, layers of bright colors, and an array of eclectic tiles creates a playful, warm, and welcoming home for this active, social young family.
