From Kasey McCarty Interior Design Studio

They say third time is a charm and this home is a stunning example.

Kasey McCarty, interior designer collaborated with Jay Corder, Architect for the first time on this home when enlisted by Alan Musk Construction to design and finish out a spec home in Austin’s Tarrytown neighborhood. Together they designed a home rich with texture: black elongated brick, white oak flooring and details. McCarty addressed each room with custom details and materials – Arete Kitchen, vein cut marble, Porcelanosa tiles and rich accent details.

When the house was sold, the owner enlisted McCarty and her team to furnish the home tailored to a masculine bachelor style vibe. McCarty kept the layouts for each room focused on function while layering Savile Road luxe tailoring details in materials – flannels, suedes and suiting wools all centered around a charcoal color palette as shown in these photos.

Her client soon married and sold the home to a former client of both the architect and designer who was able to move into the home bringing many of recent pieces gathered and selected with designer, breathing life into the third phase of this outstanding home.
