The goal for this residence was to create a casual, comfortable, gracious ambiance, for a retired couple with the same attributes. Relating the interior to the exterior was key to capture the essence of the desert lifestyle. The materials and color palette were kept neutral as being appropriate to the desert environment and to showcase the clients sophisticated art collection. Maintaining architectural integrity, detailed woodwork and large-scale beams were done in grey stained white oak. Caesarstone quartz and large format porcelain slabs serve for countertop selections. The backlit Concetto quartz bar serves as the perfect foil for the client to perform his numerous close up magic acts. Well-planned and abundant indirect lighting provides an exclusive and encompassing element. Neither magic nor an illusion, the result is a smooth sleight of hand.
