This garage conversion to modern Accessory Dwelling Unit capitalizes on the site's upslope topography, tucking the bathroom and sleeping quarters beneath the single family dwelling above. Simplicity, utility, and a sensitive approach to aspects of construction, spatial interplay, and materials align to enable a balance between a striking, yet comfortable presence on an intimate beachfront neighborhood.
