LMD Architecture Studios worked with this Manhattan Beach family to remove excessive traditional detailing and bring in an East Coast-modern feeling to the California home. The team brought in more natural light and improved the flow with a new layout - all with a unique contemporary flair. The 4,300 SF 4 bedroom home boasts a statement-making sculptural staircase. The new open floor plan combines a living room, kitchen, dining room and family area into one large open space while still allowing each room to express it's identity through furnishings, color, materials, texture and shape.
