With a ‘rustic yet refined’ aesthetic, home elements include a steep pitch of the roof recalling iconic rural black barns and farmhouses, enabling a modern exterior silhouette with a gracious vaulted living loft inside. The house draws inspiration from the innovative modular homes of 20th-century master architects and the austere simplicity of the American pastoral vernacular. The open-plan homes feature wide-plank white oak floors and warm cypress wood siding. A monolithic kitchen wall, crafted from wood charred black in the Japanese shou sugi ban method, neatly conceals abundant storage. Large sculptural kitchen islands are crafted from Caesarstone-quartz, a nod to bluestone from the Catskill Mountain region. All bathrooms have radiant-heated flooring. Customization possibilities are endless. NevelHaus homes use sustainable materials and systems that support environmental wellbeing.
