Neo-Gothic style Сastle House

Structure
House (Single Residence)
Such an impressive space, especially with such features, can confuse even the most seasoned professionals. But the architects
enthusiastically took up the project. They were faced with the task of making a turnkey house: not only to come up with a layout, but also to carry out all the finishing works and decorate the rooms. To begin with, they zoned the space, allocating large areas for a double-height living room, dining room or hall. Round rooms in the towers of the house allowed them to isolate isolated rooms in these parts with attached bathrooms, dressing rooms and even living rooms.

The large house has many rooms that are non-standard in proportion: with arched walls and columns standing in the middle of the room. The house design was conceived in accordance with the architecture of the entire cottage village where it is located.

A fragment of a bedroom. The fireplace, table and clock are all French antiques from the 18th century. The painting on the wall is “Girl with Grapes” by Alexei Kharlamov (1890–1900).

Elena and Ilya thought for a long time whether to “sew up” the high vaulted ceilings or leave them as is. In the end, they settled on the
second option, of course, adapting the rough finish to the style developed for the interior.

On the wall is “Portrait of Mrs. Propper” by Nikolai Bodarevsky (1909).

The result is an eclectic and atmospheric space where modern interior items coexist easily with masterpieces of classical art. The architects of “Art bureau 1/1 | Oneoverone” say that this project is different from everything they have done. And it is very important to them as one of the most interesting, energy-consuming and busy in their entire professional career.

The interesting texture of this stone is so self sufficient that in the rooms where it is used, no other “decorations” are needed.
The architects also specially ordered metal doors that were difficult to make and had forged elements on them.
Even asterisks, all referring to the same drawing with crosses in the hallway.

The architects of "Art Bureau 1/1| Oneoverone" are generally very sensitive to finishing with an interesting texture and pattern. They painstakingly selected the shades of pink and black-green marble they needed to lay out the “Byzantine crosses” pattern in the hallway.

Collector’s house. Working with complex spaces. Historicism that doesn’t exist. Changing the temporary space. Theatrical decisions dictated by the complex geometry of the architecture. Softening the architectural and spatial solution, deliberate theatricality and the creation of large moves and bright accents, bold decisions, shifting accents and avoiding conflict. The designers have created an atmospheric interior full of works of art, unusual objects and unique textures.
