The kitchenette is the most basic. We store appliances, like hot-plate, toaster and water cooker away if not needed. We have a fridge and a washer too.

Underneath the entire structure there is enough storage for all of our stuff - even more under the platform bed.

The NAMU.HAUS is a small mobile living space inspired by modern American and Asian architecture.

It embraces the principle of living essentially, so that your body and mind come back to the root of what is necessary and to find joy in the small.

We hand built this prototype and now live in it near San Luis Obispo, California.

We used natural, ecological, non-toxic materials where we could. Sheep wool insulation, a breathable wall structure and natural wood make the building very comfortable to live in. Utilizing net-zero-energy building materials allow for a new architectural style, design and appearance of the house. We explored these new materials and their aesthetic properties. The open jointed cedar siding is the first part of it.
