A 2017 add on, this garage was converted into a living space for entertaining and Netflix bing watching. And of course we can’t forget the hanging chair, also known as “the Instagram corner” of Mojave Haus.
Vintage finds fill the house with pops of color whilst maintaining a neutral tone that compliments the desert landscape.
Kendra made subtle and affordable changes to the kitchen, including new bronze hardware and shelving decor. This open kitchen allows the laughter and conversation to flow throughout the Haus.
Yoga Mats and a foam roller allow guests to ensure they have the ability to maintain physical wellness in this desert sanctuary.

Mojave Haus was a passion project for Kendra Martin, the Founder & CEO of Craft Lab Co. She purchased the home in 2020 and with just a $4000 budget transformed the home from monochromatic grey into a Haus filled with textures and a desert southwest style that compliments it’s location of Joshua Tree, CA. Mojave Haus is filled with crystals, native flora, and even a desert wall mural. Creosote rain waterfall showers and cork yoga mats exude a wellness retreat, while the decor makes it feel cozy. But perhaps the best feature is stargazing in the jacuzzi after a long day of hiking or climbing in Joshua Tree National Park (just 8 minutes up the road).
