Modern Lake House

Workshop/APD designed this refined and luxurious weekend home to meet the needs of their client. The collaborative process created a modern family retreat that would house the couple and their three children while tailoring to the client’s chic and easy style. The firm used the Stone Barns at the former Rockefeller estate in Pocantico Hills, NY and the outdoor landscape as inspiration and set the property on a stone base among the trees overlooking Waccabuc Lake providing a commanding water view and allowing the outdoors to integrate effortlessly with the interiors.
