The client's modern home is perched high in Portland's West Hills, with just a sliver of yard along the narrow street. One of the homeowners practiced bonsai and desired a Japanese-inspired garden, with some trees that he could prune.
A dry garden that utilizes specimen conifers, a Japanese maple, and basalt cubes fits the style of the home and the desires of the homeowners.
