Midcentury with a Graphic Interior

A photographer and a successful, artistic entrepreneur were looking to collaborate with a design firm on a new stair design for their midcentury dream home in the Dunthorpe area of Portland. As many projects do, our partnership grew into a longer, more fantastic scenario, the end result which you see below.
An eclectic mix of carefully selected furniture, color pops and graphics carry throughout the design, starting at the front door and leading down to the office. The furniture juxtaposes vintage midcentury pieces, classics such as the Knoll womb chair, with complements such as a bright designlab designed barnwood desk. Some of the originals are with renewed flair, such as neon supports on a fiberglass Eames shell chair and amazing future classics such as the credenza by BDDW. All which play off of the carefully curated collection of graphic artwork and photography throughout.
The stair, designed by bright designlab, was built by local remodeler Hammer & Hand, and the landscaping concepts were taken to the next level and executed by Pistils Landscape Design + Build
