McCann's advertising agency is located in an exceptional building in Prague’s Riegrovy Sady Park. The client’s vision was to create a new space that would facilitate communication throughout the agency and seamlessly unify all floors into a cohesive whole. Key design considerations included maximizing openness and providing varied seating options to support various work types, interaction, and communication.
The core concept was to develop a welcoming industrial space that complements the functionalist architecture of the building. The unifying element is a vinyl floor with a wood pattern, contrasted against an exposed white concrete ceiling and visible wiring of all installations.

The offices are generously lit by large windows, connecting the interior to the outside and offering spectacular views of the surrounding park. A straightforward layout establishes an entrance zone on both main floors, creating a central communal area for both business and informal meetings—a new McCann "square."

One of the standout areas is a large meeting room, defined by a central wooden table and the restored original LED lighting above, which adds a subtle technical detail. A custom, dynamic white glossy furniture piece was designed to house the presentation LCD, providing a visual contrast to the surrounding shapes.

Distinctive glass partitions with black frames enhance the industrial ambiance while also meeting high acoustic standards required for select meeting rooms. The visual style is further refined by printed acoustic panels paired with photographs from McCann Prague’s campaigns. The design assumes that, over time, each space will naturally adapt to the preferences of its users.

The choice of furniture, accessories and lighting fixtures in a design with a slight retro touch is intended to evoke a casual atmosphere and the impression of a friendly environment where everyone would like to return for coffee.

The renovation was challenging due to minimal documentation from previous reconstructions. All previous structures had to be removed before the technical designs for HVAC, waste systems, main routes, and installation shaft placements could be addressed. Ultimately, the project was realized within the planned construction and interior budgets.

This is an extraordinary building, and we believe that through collaboration, we’ve succeeded in creating a welcoming, open, and inspiring new McCann.
