On December 9th, 2023, Natuzzi Italia, the Italian furniture manufacturer, held the Marvelous Innovators N+Design Awards 2023 Ceremony at the Another Art Museum in Guangzhou, in collaboration with Guangzhou Design Week. In the presence of outstanding innovators from various fields and numerous guests, the winners of the four major awards of the N+Design Awards 2023 were announced, marking a new and momentous chapter in envisioning the future of living spaces.

Prof Andrea Giordano, Expert of the Digital Heritage Project of the World Heritage City of Venice, Dean of the Faculty of Architecture and Engineering of the University of Padua, Ambassador of the Italian Design Day, Mr. Patrick Leung, Founder of P A L Design Group, Mr. Chen Yaoguang, Interior Designer, Owner of Guanghuang Courtyard, Founder of Hangzhou Dianshang Building Decoration Design, Mr. Carlo Beltramelli, Secretary General of the ASSOCIAZIONE ITALIANA PROFESSIONISTI INTERIOR DESIGNERS (AIPi), Mr. Valerio De Parolis, Consul General of the Consulate General of Italy in Guangzhou, Mr. Tony Zhang, Co-Founder of Guangzhou Design Week, Mr. Braver Wang, General Manager of Natuzzi Trading (Shanghai) Co.,Ltd, Mr. Ye Zhiwen, Head of Sales and Operations of Natuzzi Italia, and other guests attended the grand event together.

Drawing inspiration from the captivating culture of Puglia, Natuzzi Italia aspires to meld the Mediterranean lifestyle with the brand's harmonious design philosophy. This union exemplifies a comfortable way of life, embodying the art of living that seamlessly unites functionality and aesthetics.

In 2023, to uncover more marvelous innovators, Natuzzi Italia, in collaboration with Guangzhou Design Week and other global design acclaimed academics, initiated China's first global record project on aesthetic education for humanity - "Marvelous Innovators." This project documents innovators who have shaped improved living spaces through insightful interviews. Concurrently, to identify future remarkable innovators, Natuzzi Italia launched the "N+Design Awards" in the realm of interior design. This initiative aims to establish an international platform for design inspiration exchanges, offering a stage for China's rising design talents, and delving into greater possibilities for the enhancement of future habitat design.

Focusing on the theme of "Natural Harmony Comfortness for Future Design," the N+Design Awards Ceremony brought together renowned designers from around the world to share insights and explore the possibilities of shaping a better future. Mr. Patrick Leung, Founder of P A L Design Group, Mr. Chen Yaoguang, Interior Designer, Owner of Guanghuang Courtyard, Founder of Hangzhou Dianshang Building Decoration Design, Mr. Carlo Beltramelli, Secretary General of the ASSOCIAZIONE ITALIANA PROFESSIONISTI INTERIOR DESIGNERS (AIPi), and Mr. Ricky Wong, Founder and Chairman of RWD made special appearances as award presenters, extending their congratulations to the winning designers. Beyond the impressive roster of attendees, the most exciting part of the event was the unveiling of the four major awards. Among them, the N+Design Awards 2023 N+Person of the Year Awards were presented to six designers: Li Chengmo, Wang Shuai, Sun Kang, Wu Zhenbao, Ye Jianquan, and Ye Yongzhi. Furthermore, the ten young designers who received the N+Design Awards 2023 N+Young Awards were also announced. These recipients will be invited by Natuzzi Italia to visit the Natuzzi Group headquarters in Santeramo, Natuzzi Italia's global flagship store in Milan, and the master workshops to immerse themselves in diverse design cultures. The N+Design Awards 2023 trophy, designed by emerging talent Cai Liechao, is inspired by dumbbells and encapsulates the concept of a harmonious and healthy lifestyle.

At the event, Mr. Braver Wang, General Manager of Natuzzi Trading (Shanghai) Co.,Ltd, said in his speech: "As a 'harmony maker', Natuzzi Italia continually create alternative lifestyle possibilities for people and redefine the concept of home. Natuzzi Italia is deeply aware that it is the love from the heart that drives the vibrant new life of creation and enjoyment. In the future, we will join hands with all of you to build a harmonious future for humanity." Subsequently, Mr. Tony Zhang, Co-founder of Guangzhou Design Week, also shared his thoughts, expressing hope that through the "Marvelous Innovators" project, more designers would be inspired to collaborate and create additional possibilities for harmony during the process of communication.

One of the highlights of the evening was the Lighting Show, which drew inspiration from Salento's Luminaria lights, designed to recall the beautiful colors of Puglia. The fusion of neon lights and the Tarantara dance evoked the exuberant atmosphere characteristic of southern Italian festivities. Beyond the captivating performances, the event featured imaginative displays. The 2-meter-high shaped props encircled the entrance, while the olive tree and golden wheat sheaves adorned the venue. The bar area was transformed into a dynamic and dreamy green space, featuring the "Green Rabbit" chair and inviting guests to explore the rabbit hole's vibrant energy.

Natuzzi Italia integrated its iconic products with artistic installations, conceiving a visual presentation that highlighted the exceptional products. On the second floor of this space, the new product Melody sofa was showcased, offering a captivating audio-visual experience for guests. On the ground floor, the Re-vive armchair was also displayed. Natuzzi Italia invited two designers, Chen Yaoguang and Wu Zhenbao, to create exclusive artwork for the Re-vive armchair, unveiling a unique interpretation that exuded a distinct sense of vitality.

Additionally, Natuzzi Italia has collaborated with LAB HEENOOR, a leading original design brand, to develop the LH Tumbler. This exquisite bottle showcases an Adriatic Sea blue hue, incorporating the fluid process and a versatile lanyard. The accompanying gift box, crafted from eco-friendly honeycomb cardboard, demonstrates the brand's commitment to sustainability and sophisticated design.
