LuftHaus is located in a renovated bell tower of a former church in Cologne, Germany. The bauhaus-style loft features 2-story windows nearly 7 meters high, four cement pillars, exposed brick and is complemented with modern furnishings.
The former "Heilige Drei Könige" Church in Rondorf was built in 1900 according to plans by Friedrich Marchand in the Neo-Gothic style. The massive bell tower was added in the 1950s by Werner Starck as an extension for the organ gallery and belfry. In 1987, the tower was converted into loft apartments and an office for the architect family who did the renovation. The church space frequently hosts art exhibitions, quartet performances and events.
Since 2017, LuftHaus has found it's home on the 5th and 6th floors of the tower. My family and I live and work as photographers in the space. We've made a photo studio and rent out the space for film and photo shoots. We think the space is very inspirational and enjoy sharing it with other creative productions.
