Cuban-American icon and musician, Willy Chirino’s former home in Miami is listed for $11,999,000 with Dina Goldentayer and Sylvia Chamorro of Douglas Elliman.

The estate, inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright is a unique residence where Aspen meets Miami through its rare design. The design inspires nature's tranquility with large open living areas, indoor gardens and koi pond upon entry. The residence boasts 6 Bed | 9 Bath and 10,416sqft of living space has been renovated and impeccably finished with no expense spared. The primary suite features dual calacatta-clad bathrooms, closets by Ornare, gym and spa with both sauna and steam room. Geared toward entertaining, the home features a climate-controlled wine cellar and bar equipped with mini fridge, ice maker and a dual sided counter for indoor and outdoor service alike. Sitting on 94 feet of water with direct access to open bay and situated in one of a handful of truly private communities in all of Miami. The entire outdoor entertaining space is dressed in coral stone.

Cuba-born singer Willy Chirino, whose 2006 “Son del Alma” won a Grammy for Best Salsa/Merengue Album, was the last owner of this Bay Point estate where he resided for over 2 decades and was the neighbor of Enrique Iglesias at the time. He sold the home in 2014 and although the home has gone under a massive renovation the façade and many of the standout stone features were preserved to keep the stunning charm and design of the overall property. In 1960, Willy Chirino came to the United States via "Operation Peter Pan", designed to get Cuban children out of the country due to, among other things, fears that the government would take them from their parents. Chirino began his artistic career in Miami, releasing his first album in 1974. Since then, he has recorded over 20 albums, several of which have attained platinum and gold status.
