The restaurant is located on Lac Long Quan street, one of the most beautiful routes in Hanoi, right next to West Lake. Là Men is a rebirth, rebranding from an old restaurant. It's a new breeze, attractive, more vivacious with the ambition of helping customers strengthen their relationship with themselves, with the food they eat, with nature and with their surroundings.
The design begins with a selection of styles and materials that can be combined with those immovable structures in the building to create a more vibrant space. The existing space is fairly open with lots of plants and sunlight, hens the design team decided to go in the natural direction by keeping and adding greenery along with directing a more simple and more natural feel to it.

The restaurant's layouts are not too spacious still perfectly enough to create a comfortable space. With the vision of imperfections, modest yet elegant, the main materials are wood, linen, stone, and ceramics to embark on this new lifestyle of simplicity, freeness and peacefulness.

From the beginning of the first floor, the restaurant has been raised from the sidewalk to give customers the perception of entering a different space, separate from the present to enjoy their time here. The exterior was also in consideration by having large and wide seating steps combined with planter pots for the consumer to enjoy the outside space before and after their meals. The interior is a blend of simple rusticity and raw, unfinished materials. We used a neutral pallet of white and beige with earthy tones to resemble the colour of earth and nature that harmony with the concept.

The elements in the space are oriented to give a sense of touch through textures such as stone grain, waves on surfaces, the rustic beauty and natural colours of wood and paper cord neutralize with the more cold and masculine elements.

A highlight of this restaurant is the bar-dining combination floor. This floor was originally half outdoor and indoor, but the design team decided to blend it into one ample space. However, still wanting to retain an open area, we kept the original exposed feeling on this floor by installing a multi-angled glass wall to create a resemble of an outdoor space with lots of light and plants to bring a spacious and bright sensibility. With this, customers can enjoy the sunshine and freshness of the day and also the romantic beauty of the night.
