House in Takamatsu

A home with a teahouse in the city center.
The challenge was creating a calm living environment along a busy street that ensures privacy from the surrounding high-rises.

The three wings
1. with a garage, tearoom, and main entrance
2. with living room, dining room, and kitchen, and
3. with private rooms used as bedrooms or a study
are arranged so that they enclose the main garden, with functional areas in the connections. In this way, they create a flow of time that is separate from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Each part is designed to be complex, but the overall structure is clear.
