This Concordia, Portland Craftsmen Bungalow was built in 1922 and is undergoing a full remodel. This project is on going and currently headed into the second of two phases. Phase 1 consisted of opening up walls in the main living space, completely remodeling the single existing bathroom, remodeling a portion of the kitchen, removing a collapsing sun room on the back of the house, and removing vinyl siding to expose and restore the original wood siding. Phase 2 consists of popping up a portion of the roof to add space in the former attic for a master suite, an office, an upstairs deck, a new stair, as well as finishing out the kitchen. The goal with this project was to keep the integrity of this charming craftsmen (an architectural style commonly found and loved in the Portland area) while adding a bright and modern touch. I think would be a good potential fit for a Before & After feature. The project is not quite complete, we are probably about 3 months out.
