The “Light Garden, 1,000-Year Bloom”, a first-of-its-kind responsive light garden art display, designed by nationally-acclaimed artist and technologist Alexander Green, founder of Symmetry Labs, has become an overnight Instagram sensation in Honolulu. The mesmerizing digital light garden spanning 9,500 square feet and composed of over 25,000 LEDs lights hidden within over 2,300 flowers is the largest and most technology-forward art installation to be displayed in Hawai’i. "Millions of people visit Hawai‘i each year who cannot help but be awestruck by the natural beauty that is a hallmark of the state,” said Alexander Green, Founder, “I was excited and honored by the opportunity to create a work of art designed to elicit the same sense of natural wonder and island enchantment using innovative technology.”

Located within Victoria Ward Park in Honolulu’s Ward Village neighborhood, the vibrant exhibit illuminates the park with a rich integration of curated sound, texture and color, making for the perfect Instagrammable moment. The inspiration behind the installation is the re-introduction of nature into Honolulu’s urban core providing the unique opportunity to see a flower that is seldom seen in nature.

“Light Garden, 1,000-Year Bloom,” is open nightly to public from 6:00PM to 9:00PM and will remain open – for free – through the end of January.
