As an update to the original condo conversion in the 1990s, this remodel modernizes kitchen, bath and living spaces while kicking back to the building’s historic, Chauvet Hotel roots. The original brick structure set the bar for sophisticated, neutral treatments as well as a few playful touches.
The entire unit was whitewashed to shift focus to new accent walls as well as the historic interior brick. Paint selections were chosen carefully to harmonize with existing natural light as well as new and existing fixtures. Walnut cabinets and marbled countertops were selected to feature dominantly in the open-concept kitchen. As a personal touch, the client handpicked wallpapers at each vanity location to play off brass and matte black fixtures.
This remodel remains a small gem, nestled within the old Chauvet Hotel, embracing the Sonoma-chic look and feel.
