The Journey Begins: A Vintage Caravan Adventure
The Unexpected Find

It all started quite serendipitously when we knocked on a complete stranger's door, intrigued by the 1974 Franklin Arrow vintage caravan parked in their driveway. Our curiosity sparked a bold question: "Would you consider selling it?" To our amazement, the answer was yes. Before we knew it, we were driving home with a new, albeit very run-down, home on wheels.

From Makeover to Rebuild

What we initially thought would be a simple makeover quickly turned into a complete rebuild. The caravan, affectionately referred to as "she," had nothing left except her shell. It was clear that we needed to completely redesign her from the ground up. The process was neither easy nor quick, but it was incredibly rewarding. Each nail driven and each panel replaced brought us closer to our vision of a perfect traveling home.

Falling in Love with Our Creation

Once our labor of love was complete, we fell head over heels for our rejuvenated caravan. Her vintage charm and newfound functionality made us realize that she was more than just a project; she was the key to a new lifestyle. We decided to embrace this opportunity and hit the road full time, embarking on a journey across the country with our trusty 1974 vintage caravan.

Embracing the Gypsy Life

We sold our house, put all our belongings into storage, and put our business on vacation. This leap into the unknown has been exhilarating. Living the simple gypsy life, we find ourselves cruising the country as if it were the 1970s all over again. Each day brings new adventures, new people, and new places to explore.

The Road Ahead

As we continue our travels, we often reflect on how a single knock on a stranger's door set us on this incredible journey. Our vintage caravan has become more than just a mode of transport; it's a symbol of freedom and a testament to the rewards of taking risks. We haven't looked back since, and we can't wait to see where the road leads us next.
