A steep site with a small clearing between well established trees this had a lot of challenges.
The house minimised the need for removal of trees and instead capitalises the privacy the afford and on the near views into the bush.

The house steps up from a low bedroom wing to grab views through the treeptops to the north while pulling in Winter sunlight, photovoltaic panels and solar hot water are lifted high enough to avoid shading.

The deck is located to the west edge of the clearing and its high ceiling merges with the adjacent tree canopy.
