THE OWL
Surrounded by magnificent trees, a clearing well hidden from view. The Owl, this beautiful single-story house, minimalist and discreet, stretches along the stream. Long and narrow, adorned with bricks and topped with a roof with bold angles, it exudes a timeless elegance, while being resolutely modern.
At the center, an inviting glass entrance. Transparent, it beckons you to approach... but reveals nothing of the home's intimacy.
It’s on the courtyard side that it truly shines! Bathed in the morning light, the sinuous roofs and omnipresent glass accentuate the long facade. The terrace, sheltered from the winds by the extended living room, stretches out to connect the sauna to the hot tub, the lower gallery to the upper gallery. Indigenous plants mingle with grasses, creating a wild and deconstructed effect. It’s a small nature spa, envisioned from the start by the owners, that is peaceful and restorative.
Inside, an unavoidable feature: a well-lit central axis. A white and minimalist pathway that leads from the private spaces at the southern end to the gathering areas to the north. Each room opens onto this unifying axis.
The living areas are vast and high, giving full space to light and the surrounding forest. The changing colors of the landscape illuminate the neutral and subtle tones that adorn the interior. Whites, grays, a bit of wood. A touch of golden yellow, a nod to autumn...
A place of pure beauty, with a touch of wildness...
