Cliff House

The Cliff House was designed to reflect the surrounding natural cliff on the site using honest, local materials, interesting form and massing, and natural landscaping. The Owner's art collection inspired the plan, providing complementary spaces. The main spaces were given sweeping views of the ski resort.

The 5,979sf house has various spaces, including a ski-in/ski-out room, spa oasis room, and game room. The entry, although humble, presents an understated simplicity that captures you, eventually opening to a seemingly floating stair hugging a stone wall.
The stairs lead up to a home office which sets itself apart perched higher and clad with metal panels. The primary bedroom contains expansive skylights that provide star-covered nights.
