CASA LISBON

Located in Yucca Valley on the edge of Joshua Tree National Park, this two-story accessory dwelling unit (ADU) is a streamlined Southwestern-style hacienda, covered in terra-cotta plaster. The modular, Cubist-like architecture is a study in oil-pipe steel and frosted corrugated glass, its offset overhangs and cantilevered volumes distorting and extending the overall proportions in keeping with the surrounding primordial environment.
