Casa Elisa is located in an urbanization of the Costa Brava near the sea, surrounded by a natural environment of great beauty.

The geometry and the special topographical conditions and an existing horizontal plane in the terrain were decisive starting points when planning and integrating the volume and distribution of the program determined by the client.

The terrain offered two views and spaces to be enhanced, the first one open towards the sea and the bay and the second, much more closed and protected, towards the mountain and the pines of the natural park.

Conceptually the house is composed by two rectangular volumes of different heights partially overlaid with different angles, adapting the volumetric ensemble to the slope of the natural terrain and orienting it towards both views.

The double directionality generated by both volumes is maintained in the configuration and design of the outdoor space and the pool, which gives the common spaces on the ground floor a relationship of continuity and connection to exterior.

The house is designed as a walkway-lookout, in which the different levels of ground floor and first floor are accessible and connected from the inside and outside by various corridors and walkways under constant changes of perspective, that make live the place and its beautiful natural environment with architecture and not from architecture.

For the delimitation of the common areas of the living room, dining room and kitchen, glazed elements are applied, enhancing the visual fluidity between the different spaces and their connection with the exterior areas and the nature.
