  • Casa APG is a residential project. The rectangular-shaped site meassures 10 x 20 meters; these characteristics gave form to the architectural concept; working with the idea of positive and negative space.

Creating a game of counter parts we decided to build a block 5 x 20 meters that is exactly half of the plot that contains the house. The negative space is conceived as the public and open space, that is contained but not occupied, it has the same dimensions but is not built. This allows us to create a dialog of the counter parts.

The built block dialogs with its open counterpart through a transparent façade all along the side, leaving only as closed elements the private areas such as bathrooms and kitchen. The counterpart of this transparent façade it’s a solid wall with the same dimensions that not only contains the open space but it also gives privacy to the house.
