Landscaping touches were added throughout the outdoor space with flowers tumbling from graceful concrete Charleston Gardens Planters sitting atop stone accented pillars guarding the edges of the custom-built swimming pool.

The designers and creative professionals of Florida’s Ryan Hughes Design Build have created a sun-filled version of a private yet welcoming Secret Garden in one Tampa family’s backyard. Surrounded by verdant foliage and elegant stone wall elements, this fresh and functional outdoor space delivers enjoyment and experiences through relaxing vistas and spilling water features, sun shelfs and conversation creating enclaves.

The expanse of this hidden gem is coordinated in a neutral color pallet that encourages relaxation and reflection while encircled by greenery and cooling waters. Designed by founder and creative director, Ryan Hughes, this Bellaire project includes an ornately appointed swimming pool with a crowning raised spa with decorative waterfall feature. A lounge adorned sun self within the pool creates the perfect vantage point for taking in the sun or all that surrounds. A custom-built pergola and a raised lounge patio offer seating for family and friends including lounge chairs by Castelle or deep seating by Patio Renaissance. Neutral travertine tile and touches of multi-tone wall tiles pulls the design together perfectly coordinating with all the textiles used in the garden furnishings.

Just as in the children’s book of the garden that was once drab, when cared for and infused with the expertise and talents of the Hughes team, this backyard space magically becomes a welcome retreat. When the sun goes down, this magic also is on display when the Tampa backyard literally sparkles and shines providing an enticing venue for entertainment and family gatherings.
