Bear Mountain Chalet

We are a family or 3 living in Pasadena and wanted a mountain house for spending our weekends. We eventually found a 1983 house in big bear lake that had amazing views of the national forest by needed some love. We remodeled the existing house and also extended it to give over 2000sqft of living. We worked with Studio Lins for the design and with Robillard construction for the project. The house had a nice feel of a tree house spanning 3 levels all with views from the forest. The upper floor had a beautiful A-frame ceiling. We wanted it to have the feel of an alpine retreat, combining the rustic elements of a chalet with luxe and more modern design. We are sharing our Chalet with others when we are not using it on Airbnb
