Situated in the much-beloved Beaches neighbourhood in Toronto, and inspired by its coastal-like surroundings, our vision for Beach House was to invoke the feeling of being on the coast and one with nature - open, light, airy and tranquil.
Large windows bring shape to the structure encased by a crisp, pure white stucco cladding while cedar and mahogany woods add warmth and character to the exterior. The exterior gives way to an interior that features an open floor plan that benefits from plentiful natural light provided by floor-to-ceiling windows and skylights throughout.
The extensive kitchen and cabinetry was designed to be as aesthetically minimal yet functional as possible - this allows the space to retain its light and openness while accommodating the needs of a growing family. Calming whites, warm white oak and sleek matte black hardware for accentuation are applied holistically throughout the space.
