Atlas Urban Homes was part of a redevelopment of a 2.5acre site that was formerly home to a church and then a seminary. The houses were constructed on a portion of the site and the 1962 sanctuary was preserved and converted into co-working. The community consists of 14 small lot single-family houses designed for busy people who want a house but don’t want the responsibility of yard maintenance or the shared walls of a townhome. Located just .5mi from the Light Rail, these homes offer easy access to mass transit with the peacefulness of a neighborhood.
The homes provide 3-bedrooms, 3.5-bathrooms, 2-car garages and fenced yards with exteriors maintained by an association. The three-story homes are approximately 2,300 square feet of contemporary styling with midcentury modern and bungalow influences complementing the preserved mid-mod church building next door as well as the single-family homes in the neighborhood.
Four townhomes were also constructed with two of the units deed restricted as affordable units.
Atlas Urban Homes represents responsible forward thinking infill redevelopment with innovative housing design, affordable townhomes, and adaptive reuse.
