Nearly ten years ago, the apartment's owners began redesigning their space to accommodate their growing family. Although the three-bedroom, three-bathroom layout was suitable, they focused on thoughtful enhancements rather than major alterations. They aimed to create a serene retreat influenced by the building's art deco architecture, fostering a calming ambiance through improved shared areas.
New walls were added to optimize the layout, with gentle curves softening harsh lines. Shiny brass accents pay homage to the art deco style, while nature-themed wallpaper and light fixtures infuse warmth and character. The bathrooms feature standout tiles on main walls, creating dramatic focal points with seamless connections to the floors.
The elegant wood flooring from Listone Giordano emphasizes the apartment's natural beauty, with a custom chevron pattern guiding the eye through the hallway. The kitchen was reimagined to utilize vertical space, with cabinetry extending to the ceiling and a discreet pantry for clutter-free storage. A redesigned dining area smoothly links to the kitchen, with a striking bar area inspired by elegant fan-shaped tiles.
The living area serves as a tranquil retreat, with a white oak window casing framing scenic views and automatic solar shades for light control. The TV wall reflects sophisticated paneling, creating an inviting atmosphere. Lastly, a former playroom closet transformed into a custom workstation combines style and practicality, ensuring the family's vision of a vibrant home is beautifully fulfilled.
