A modern alpine chalet that combines a series of concrete spine walls that anchor into the terrain; capped with dancing roofscapes. The generously spanned cantilevered decks extend across the two levels: providing outdoor living areas with dramatic views of the Alpine Meadows Valley and the Palisades at Tahoe Base-to-Base Tram, complete with a sunken hot tub. Inside, where the concrete and steel continue, the house feels welcoming and comfortable with the nods "Japandi" styling. The waterfall neolith countertop and hidden cabinet hardware contrast with the textured board-form concrete walls and hemlock-lined fin wall. The wall-to-wall windows and unique simplicity of the rooms highlight the epic views.
The special details of this house include: board-form concrete on the outside and inside throughout the rooms of the house, custom sliding door with real rose-petal wallpaper, hidden dart board within a unique fin wall, floating glass stair railing, shou sugi ban siding inside and out, cantilevered deck with sunken hot tub, triple pane windows, custom sauna, dual heating system- radiant in-floor and heat pump, Lutron lighting control system, climate controlled wine room.
