Villa Paraiso is without a doubt one of the finest, most thoughtfully designed luxury properties in Costa Rica today. The private oceanfront compound is comprised of a Spanish-style main villa, coach house, garage, heli-pad, pool and stables, situated on 13 lush tropical acres of the Nicoya Peninsula—known for its white-sand beaches and some of the Pacific Coast’s best surfing and pristine scenery.
Designed by renowned Costa Rican architect Ronald Zurcher (who also designed Costa Rica’s only Four Seasons Hotel), the 10,600-square-foot main villa is comprised of four gorgeous guest rooms on the ground level, with a palatial master suite on the second level. Every room offers breathtaking ocean and coastline views. The construction is on par with the finest European craftsmanship—all wiring, fixtures, electronics and key materials were brought from Europe, the U.S. and abroad. Craftsmen worked for more than two years on the villa’s vaulted brick ceilings, 35 teak columns and custom iron work, among other unique design features. A custom 300-foot suspension bridge provides private access from the property to the nearby beach town of Montezuma.
Villa Paraiso’s spacious principal rooms provide seamless indoor/outdoor living—the living room flows into the formal dining room and out to the terrace and pool area. In the outdoor recreation area, find a large free-form infinity pool with swim-up bar that seats 12, as well as a 42-inch LCD screen, barbecue, wood-fired pizza oven and oversized Jacuzzi. This terrace is the ideal setting from which to enjoy Costa Rica’s famous sunsets.
Additional amenities include an eight-seat home theater and a detached cliffside coach house with dramatic 180-degree views of the Pacific. The coach house includes an executive office suite, fitness and design studios.
Out front, an auto court has been specially designed to accommodate helicopter service from Costa Rica’s two international airports (the property can also be reached by car and SUV). Nearby, the estate’s stables hold four horses.
This is the ideal vacation property for adventure-lovers and relaxation-seeking families alike. The region offers world-class surfing, scuba diving, snorkeling, hiking, biking, big-game fishing and is a jumping-off point for other Costa Rican jungle adventures, including zip-lining and whitewater rafting. Explore one of the most dynamic environments on earth by day and return to total comfort each night.
