'Tainted' Solo Show by Justine Mahoney

Tainted presents a study of the jostling schizophrenia that exists between an apparent playful veneer and the darker element which lurks beneath the surface. The 10 sculptures are born from corresponding hyper-charged collages, built from the artist’s diverse collection of imagery, reflecting the multifariousness of her experiences growing up in South Africa during the turbulent 70s, 80s and 90s.
