LARCH COBALT
Traditionally Inspired American Made™. This 18th century technique of preserving wood with fire is refreshed for today’s design. Aggressively burning the surface layer of our sustainably harvested Larch, we then wire-brush each plank multiple times to remove the soft char and expose the contrasting grain below. This heavily textured and visually dynamic surface can be left unfinished or can be coated with an exterior grade finish in a selection of cool greys, warm browns, or a pop of color.
Larch is a durable wood exterior option with attractive tones, interesting grain patterns, rot, insect and fire-resistant. Our Shou Sugi Ban Larch Twice-Brushed can just as comfortably clad an interior wall providing a bold statement to any indoor design.

LARCH UNDRESSED | 1
Traditionally Inspired, American Made™—an 18th century technique for preserving wood with fire is updated to meet 21st century design and performance standards. Aggressively burning the surface layer of our responsibly harvested Larch, then removing a single layer of the char through wire brushing creates toasted tones in the grain and a smooth texture. With our once-brushed Larch we aggressively burn each board, and then brush off the softest layer of char resulting in a smooth, dark and slightly textured surface that can be left without a finish or coated with an array of exterior grade colors.
Shou Sugi Ban Larch Once-Brushed provides a durable, rot-resistant option with a ton of character, capable of withstanding weather and rugged enough for either outdoor or indoor applications. Shou Sugi Ban Larch Once-Brushed adds a modern appeal to a centuries old process.

LARCH DEEP CHAR
Traditionally Inspired, American Made™—an 18th century technique for preserving wood with fire is updated to meet 21st century design and performance standards. Aggressively burning the surface layer of our sustainably harvested Larch planks creates the signature “alligator skin” texture and a black, mildly iridescent look Shou Sugi Ban is known for.
Shou Sugi Ban Larch Deep Char is well suited for exterior applications or in some cases interior paneling. Traditionally maintenance-free, the charred layer is expected to change over time when exposed to the elements. We finish our Deep Char with an ebony tinted poly sealer to protect and prolong its distinctive look. With or without maintenance, Larch Deep Char provides unprecedented longevity to be enjoyed for decades to come. Providing a durable, rot-resistant option with a ton of character, capable of withstanding unforgiving weather conditions, Shou Sugi Ban Larch Deep Char adds a modern appeal to a centuries-old process.
