Designer Alejandro Capdevila of Isola System built this approximately 800-square-foot floating house in Wrocław, Poland.

"Generally floating houses are very expensive, and very ugly," Capdevila says.
The space, where Capdevila lives, feautures minimal furnishings and uninterrupted views of the water.
"Most [floating homes] are reinvented boats with an unhealthy condensation inside, translated into humidity.
The sparse interior lets the house's waterfront setting stand out.
Capdevila notes that after living in it for five years, the house has required zero maintenence updates.
