The lavish master bath features concrete counters with integrated sinks designed by the architect and design team.

Bathed in Light To help disperse light in the newly opened-up interior, the designers clad the roof over the guest bathroom with Danpalon, a translucent polycarbonate that brings in lots of softened natural light. The walls and door are frosted glass. Says Kyprianou: “You can’t see much through the glass—just silhouettes—so our guests don’t mind!” danpalon.com.au Hung Up With the budget running out toward the end of the project, Kyprianou wanted to avoid forking out for a custom-designed walk-in closet in the master bedroom. All bathrooms are also equipped with natural amenities by Mexican apothecary brand, LoredAna.

The master bath features wetsyle sinks, neolith basalt counters, leicht cabinets, a cementitous floor, and a teak shower platform and bench.

Wood from Tzalam trees, a species that grows in abundance in Tulum, were used for the doors and joinery. Furniture from Mexican brand La Metropolitana were used in the bedrooms. The two coffee tables, bamboo and Zapote wood bar, bar shelves, and turquoise sofa in the reception area were all designed by Haag.

A monolithic, imported stone vanity in the bathroom is accented by brass fixtures and hand-cut and crafted tile.

Spa-like bathrooms are the ideal place for a little R&R.

The bathrooms’ white walls and wood cabinetry keep the areas light, bright, and airy.

Bath

In the bathroom, generous windows and skylights create the illusion of an outdoor shower.

The home features four-and-a-half baths. This one with two sinks and an open penny-tile shower area.

Master Bath with dual shower heads including rain head / jet tub

The vanity, shelving, and finish surrounding the rub are custom; using marine-grade hardwood Ply that has been treated with multiple layers of sealer. An additional layer of Formica veneer has been used to treat the finish around the tub and shelves.

In total, the estate has nine bathrooms. This one has a spacious sauna and a rain shower.
