A long window was used as a backsplash in the kitchen to bring in even more light to the space.

The counter and backsplash are made up of a marble slab leftover from a bigger job.

The ADU’s bathroom, which doubles as an echo chamber for Brad’s recordings, is covered in American Universal Corp. tile, which was also used for the pool.

Colter worked with Brad to devise a system of shelving that would keep everything in the studio organized and at hand. And then he had some fun—with an interior window that looks through to the staircase and another in the floor that helps bring light to the lower level.

A mini-kitchenette features recurring terrazzo tile, the same use in Mike's primary bathroom. A built-in oak shelf holds glassware and vintage art.

Terrazzo floors and skylight up above add visual interest.

The existing sitting room facing the street has been transformed into an office to allow for the hybrid working from home. This use of the street-facing space evokes a historical set-up with workshops on the ground floor and living accommodation above.
