The house has an amazing history. One that is rich in the fashion and design industry. In the 1800s the Coleman family milled garment that was sold to Brooks Brothers in NYC (imagine that horse ride delivery). In the 1970s - 1980s the great, grandson to Singer sewing machines called this place his weekend country home (he was VP Marketing at Singer AND IS BURIED ON THE PROPERTY). In the 2000s the owners were high end auctioneers. In 2013 Cristy Lee McGeehan, a designer, purchased the home with her husband Colan and after the house sat dark FOR ALMOST 40 YEARS (visits were by appt only) she turned it into the colorful, eclectic style in has today all while maintaining the integrity and history of the home.
