On the first level, a walnut veneer counter offers a place to drop belongings or to enjoy a meal. The walls are painted in Decorator’s White by Benjamin Moore to create a bright but neutral backdrop. Maximizing space was the priority of the remodel.

As chef Ed Kenney’s fourth eatery, Mahina & Sun’s believes in, “local first; organic whenever possible; with aloha always.” The picnic tables next to the bar were hand-painted by local artist Jeff Gress.

The public spaces are filled with both vintage furnishings and custom designs by OMFGCO. The Hideout bar features a Marmoreal countertop, which consists of an engineered marble developed in collaboration between dzek and British designer Max Lamb.
