Alto Steps

Tibetan quality Alto Steps are hand knotted in Nepal, and made from the finest Himalayan wool. We also offer standard Alto steps in natural Hemp, Nettle and flat weave nettle and wool.

We offer standard Alto Steps which are 26x9 inches, and Alto Wide Steps which are 36x9.5 inches. Alto Steps are available in sets of 12 or individually. Many sets include solids and patterns. Designed to be compatible in every possible combination, they can be arranged to create a unique transition from one floor to the next.

Custom colors and shaped pieces such as winders, and L-shaped landings may be ordered, provided shapes and designs are suitable for the hand knotting or hand tufting process. Silk, nettle, hemp, and other natural fibers can also be specified.

Willow Steps This design is inspired by the fast growing Willow branches overhead against the sky. Willow includes six different pieces which can be arranged to form a complete picture or randomly placed for an all-over effect. These are hand knotted in pure wool at 100 knots per inch. Slate blue grey and driftwood make a versatile color combination, and colors may be customized.
