Vintage furnishings are scattered throughout the renovation including the casita’s Moroccan rug as well as a sofa and chair covered in linen

The garage turned casita/pool house features a custom plywood bed, bench, and cabinetry.

While the renovations maintained the bones, the entire home was modernized, including updating the kitchen appliances.

Outdoor lounge chairs from Design Within Reach rest on the floating wood deck.

The kitchenette, pictured in the background, is outfitted with coffee supplies from Fellow and Aeropress. In the foreground is a coffee table from Crate & Barrel over a hide rug from Arhaus.

Salvaged shiplap from the original house was repurposed. You’ll find it on the walls in the Zen Den (shown here) and in the primary bedroom.

A sliding door separates the en-suite bathroom from this bedroom.

In the primary bath, green Dal tile complements birch plywood walls.

A deck and stone pathway separate the ADU from the primary residence.

Morsø

The house is well equipped for weather conditions in an area known for intense winds and heavy snowfall during the winter months.

Veneer plywood was used in both interior and exterior applications, providing a clean yet warm aesthetic.
