From the Architect: "Constructed in the 1960s, this home is unique for the Portland area and feels decidedly more Palm Springs than Pacific Northwest. Having largely avoided any detrimental renovations over the years, the home has proven to be a time capsule with many original details intact that provided clear design direction and references for implementing changes in the renovation."

Constructed in the 1960s, the home encapsulates a bit of the personality of the era.
"It was decided early on in the planning phase to honor the history and original architecture of this home and treat it primarily as a restoration project."
"Original hardwood floors were repaired and refinished throughout. All spaces received new paint, and original wood details, including trim and woodwork, were carefully restored."
Mixed materials, textures, and patterns—all with soft brown and tan tones—make the space warm and inviting.
The fireplace and furniture elements bring a modern flare to the space and add character outside of the architectural qualities of the home.
The entry leads into a central corridor that directs visitors into the common areas.
"In the kitchen, cluttered soffits were removed and a larger opening to the dining room was introduced."
"The layout of the kitchen was reworked using the existing square footage allowing the space to function more generously without removing any walls."
The primary bedroom takes advantage of a wide sliding window, allowing for an abundance of light and airflow.

Bathroom tiles continue the visual theme of warm terra-cotta-like tones, embellished by gold-finished faucets.
