Comedian Jerry Seinfeld is looking to part ways with his 12,260-square-foot mountain estate in Telluride, Colorado. The award-winning actor, writer, and producer purchased the sprawling retreat with his wife, cookbook-author Jessica Seinfeld, for $7,550,000 in 2007. Three years later, the couple listed the home for $18,300,000, but they took it off the market within a few months. Now, the duo are putting the property back on the market—this time at a slightly lower asking price.
Built in 1991 by Lipkin Warner, an acclaimed Colorado-based architecture firm, the retreat is set on nearly 27 secluded acres in Telluride’s private Raspberry Patch enclave. The residence was originally designed as a series of ranch-style structures, but the famous homeowners have remodeled the residence extensively over the last decade, expanding the size of the compound while also redesigning much of the interior space.
Upon entry, a generous-sized foyer opens up to the spacious living areas, which are capped with double-height vaulted ceilings that greatly enhance the home’s grand proportions. In the main room, floor-to-ceiling windows frame sweeping views of the neighboring San Miguel Mountains, while a large stone fireplace complements the rustic aesthetic.
Warm wood details extend throughout the residence, including in the kitchen, which features a large central island, custom cabinetry, and two farmhouse sinks. The main level also includes a cozy, wood-paneled library that offers direct access to the outdoor areas.
In total, the Telluride estate offers 11 bedrooms and bathrooms—as well as three half baths. Other notable features include a fitness center, yoga studio, game room, and four-car garage. The property also comes with a private, well-maintained trail system and is conveniently located just 10 minutes from the Telluride Ski Resort.
225 Raspberry Patch Rd in Telluride, Colorado, is currently listed for $14,950,000 by Anne-Britt Ostlund of Mountain Rose Realty.
