Gaby recently started splitting her time between LA and Seattle (yes, that means two kitchens!) and we were thrilled to team up with her on her Seattle home. Read on to see photos of the space and learn more about Gaby.

What started your interest in cooking?

I always loved eating, but I didn’t really start cooking until I got to college and gained 20 pounds my freshman year! It wasn’t the best look on me, so I started cooking for myself and my roommates, tennis team and friends. The rest is history!

Who are your top five dream dinner party guests?

Chrissy Teigen, Ellen DeGeneres, Oprah, Barack Obama and my best friend Matt Armendariz.

What was the first cookbook you purchased?

Relaxed Cooking with Curtis Stone. I was OBSESSED with him when I first started cooking. I love everything about his Aussie style.

What’s your go-to meal when you’re short on time?

I’m all about a bowl. I’ll grab a rotisserie chicken from the market and whip up a quick sauce like my basil vinaigrette or tomato confit and toss it all together with some greens and quinoa!

Do you have a favorite ingredient to cook with?

I’m currently obsessed with Sumac but lemon and avocados show up in a majority of my recipes.

Breakfast, lunch or dinner: which do you prefer to eat and which do you prefer to cook?

My favorite meal of the day is hands down lunch! But dinner or brunch is my favorite meal to cook because I can gather the most amount of people for those meals and spread the love.

Since Game of Thrones isn’t coming back until next year, what shows are you currently binging?

Omg, I am literally counting the days until Jon Snow is back in my life. But until then I’m all about Peaky Blinders, The Assassination of Gianni Versace and Victoria, which is on PBS and I’m obsessed.

Since splitting your time between LA and Seattle, what are three things you can’t fly without?

I always travel with Glossier lip balm, my collagen eye masks and a piece of fruit!

Who or what inspires you?

Travel is a huge inspiration to me. I love going to different places and eating my way through various cities. I also love a farmers market and tend to buy whatever looks best and make my meals out of that!

What’s your dream vacation destination?

I’m scheming a way to do an epic adventure through Africa: Morocco, Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Namibia, Tanzania and a cruise down the Nile!
